Sites worth visiting!

Orthodox Apologetic

All of the sites below have been checked for content and are recommended for their solidly orthodox and thoroughly researched material. Disagreements may be found over minor points of doctrine, or occasionally inappropriate terminology or grammar.  Obviously, if anyone brings disturbingly unorthodox content to our attention we will research the matter and remove any links to a site if necessary.  If you are in doubt over any matter, we recommend contact with these individual ministries who are known to be zealous in their work for the Lord Jesus Christ and appreciate the need for all seekers to be Bereans and check all things carefully (Acts 17:10-11):

And the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea; and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.  11  Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so.

The recommended sites also have many links to other Christian ministries, most of which we know to be excellent, but it is obviously impossible for us to research every one carefully and continuously.  We therefore ask that every visitor to these sites brings attention to aberrant doctrinal matters or behaviour so that correction or reproof can follow if necessary, that repentance and restoration may result (2 Corinthians 7:9-10;  2 Timothy 2:25)

The Berean Call is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation which exists to:

ALERT believers in Christ to unbiblical teachings and practices impacting the church.
EXHORT believers to give greater heed to biblical discernment and truth regarding teachings and practices being currently promoted in the church.
SUPPLY believers with teaching, information, and materials which will encourage the love of God's truth, and assist in the development of biblical discernment.
MOBILIZE believers in Christ to action in obedience to the scriptural command to "earnestly contend for the faith" (Jude 3).
IMPACT the church of Jesus Christ with the necessity for trusting the Scriptures as the only rule for faith, practice, and a life pleasing to God.

Ministry of Dave Hunt and Tom A. McMahon

This is the Biblical ministry of David Cloud (who lives in South Asia where he has been a church planting missionary since 1979) and whose material is distributed by Way of Life Literature's Fundamental Baptist Information Service, a service for Fundamental Baptists and other fundamentalist, Bible-believing Christians.  Established in 1974, Way of Life Literature is a fundamental Baptist preaching and publishing ministry based in Bethel Baptist Church, London, Ontario, of which Wilbert Unger is the founding Pastor.

The ministry produces a considerable volume of material designed for use in churches, such as their Friday Church News Notes written by David Cloud, who stands solidly on the Rock that is the Lord Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 10v4; 1 Peter 2v8), and is therefore based on the Word of God as found only in the Bible - and this is true of all his writings, many of which are offered without payment of any kind and include e-books of the highest quality.  For continuous encouragement to walk with Jesus as a thoroughly Biblical Christian we recommend you make wise use of this encouraging ministry.

What is Radio Free Church?

'Radio Free Church is an online resource for listening and viewing God's Word through 24-hour scheduled radio and video broadcasts, live streaming of conferences and local church services, archived messages, and Bible School courses.

Speakers will include
David Hocking, Jacob Prasch, Rick Oliver, Dave Hunt, Roger Oakland, Bill Koenig, John Higgins, and many others. We want to take advantage of the available technology and reach the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.

The time is fast approaching where true believers may be forced underground to avoid persecution; nations (like Canada's hate crime laws) may attempt to restrict the preaching and teaching of God's Word, but "The Word of God is not bound." - 2 Timothy 2:9'

The CROSS + WORD site is Tricia Tillin's ministry:

'for Christians searching for information on the current "renewal" and "revival" manifestations in the churches; and also to help towards explaining other foundational errors.

While some leaders are claiming that a massive end-times revival will bring the global Church into prominence, resulting in the conversion of millions, others - ourselves included - do not find this concept in the Bible.

As well as this, we believe we can show that the many strange spiritual and psychic manifestations associated with the current renewal are not biblical, and in fact can be dangerously deceptive.'

Philip & Kathleen POWELL:

'It is hoped that this (ministry) will (a) alert Christians worldwide to deception in the church (b) provide resources for discernment, judging rightly, and testing the spirits (c) bring many believers back to obedience to Jesus Christ and the written Word from which all Christian doctrine and teaching should be derived and (d) promote the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth which "is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes" (Rom. 1:16), not a gospel of signs and wonders.'

Reachout Trust is an international Christian ministry that upholds Biblical truth and builds bridges to those in the Cults, Occult, New Age and New Religious Movements.

http://www.reachouttrust.org

MRM is an evangelical Christian ministry that has been challenging the claims of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1979.

MRM is a member of the Evangelical Ministries to New Religions.

http://www.mrm.org

The Official Website of Utah Lighthouse Ministry, founded by Jerald and Sandra Tanner.

The purpose of their site is to document problems with the claims of Mormonism and compare LDS doctrines with Christianity.

In this they are incomparable and most other ministries to the Mormons are heavily indebted to them for the sheer quality and quantity of their painstaking research.  Thousands of Christians have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ through the 'good works' Jerald and Sandra were saved to perform (Ephesians 2:8-10).

The mission of Mormonism Web Ministries is two-fold:
1) seeking to encourage reliance upon Christ's teachings as they are recorded in The Holy Bible
2) urging our readers to have compassion and pray for those who have strayed from the precepts of Biblical Christianity.

'The information on this site (Freeminds.org) is posted to offer the public a resource concerning controversial and/or potentially unsafe groups -some that have been called "cults" - and related subjects.
Randall Watters does not necessarily endorse or support the views expressed - with the exception of those specifically attributed to him. Some may find this material controversial. Randall Watters and Free Minds, Inc. post this information for the convenience of researchers.'

Excellent site with unusual layout. Supplies much controversial (to Jehovah's Witnesses!) information concerning the many failed prophecies, contradictions, lies and hypocrisies of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Jehovah's Witnesses.  David A. Reed's books are widely available in good Christian bookstores and testify to the effectiveness of this  fine ministry.

Dave and Deborah Dombrowski
Publishers
Lighthouse Trails Publishing

'Five and a half years ago we learned, through a manuscript called A Time of Departing, that a mantra-style meditation had been introduced to the evangelical church and was infiltrating youth groups, churches, seminaries and Bible studies at an alarming rate.

When that book was handed to us in the fall of 2000 by the author Ray Yungen, it was still in manuscript form. After reading the book, we knew it had to be published, which began our search for a publisher. A year and a half later, after prayerful consideration, we started a publishing business and published the book ourselves, thus the beginning of Lighthouse Trails Publishing Company.

As we learned more of this invasive belief system [called contemplative spirituality or the spiritual formation movement], we came to realize it had infected the church in every aspect and area. From the Alpha Course to the Purpose Driven Life, from Young Life to conservative Christian colleges, contemplative spirituality was wreaking havoc throughout the body of Christ. Movements like the emerging church became extensions of contemplative spirituality.

Because the premise of this spirituality is that all paths lead to God, thus refuting the gospel message of the Cross, we were compelled to speak up - this has brought about the formation of this web site,
Lighthouse Trails Research Project.'
