Hi there
I just read about somethings on the website thechristianexpositor.org regarding Rhiwbina Baptist Church.
I got baptised there in 1984 shortly after I was born again in Llanishen village. I was born and raised in Templeton Avenue in Llanishen.
I am unhappy with how I was treated at RBC , I was a young Christian and I feel that some serious damage was done to me there.
Thanks for the website, I will look at it some more.

thank you for taking the time to write.
Although we only mentioned Rhiwbina for the reasons stated on the two pages on which they appear, one of their elders recently made contact to complain about these references.
We have replied appropriately, particularly since they have now taken it upon themselves to study the 'Purpose Driven' deception of the heretic Rick Warren (ref. the new article )
We only have the accounts of more recent teaching of concern at the church and know nothing of Rhiwbina history, circa 1984, when they were still a reasonably orthodox church to our knowledge of that time.
Perhaps the treatment you received then was unusual in the light of their general church practices?
We hope and pray that you have since received help and possible counselling for problems that may have been caused?
You will be in our prayers, as we hope we are in yours.

We have been heavily involved in teaching apologetics to a small group of seekers since December and lack of time and resources has prevented further additions for the moment.
But we do intend to continue working on the site in the very near future and, hopefully, it will never become fully inactive (until we are Raptured!?).
It is our prayer, too, that we press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus and that our love may abound more and more with knowledge and all discernment so that we may approve what is excellent and be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

As made clear on our home page, we no longer respond to all e-mails due to other initiatives (and the very common nature of the attempted 'counters' from respondents).
You fail to make reference to any facts or Scripture, so your blanket accusation makes you guilty of the very things you would hurl at us.
Is 'johnny snarl' [your included hotmail address!] meant to reflect your methods?
Far from edifying 'noone', numerous testimonies encourage us that others also know and love the Word and recognise when it is being handled accurately.
If you ever bother to put your accusations into a coherent form we may consider forming a brief reply under the conditions clearly stated on our home page.
Until then please recognise that:
Pr 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Pr 26:4-5: Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly [as his folly deserves!], that he not be wise in his own eyes.

The Lakeland "Outpouring" is not as it seems, even though CBN is touting is as a great work of the Holy Spirit.
Spirit yes, Holy......no.
Thousands are being deceived there.
Check out the story and the man's background.........Todd Bentley. He regularly converses with an angel called "Emma" who brings him teachings and prophecies.

[TCE: notice that, even since we briefly examined Todd Bentley and 'Fresh Fire Ministries' - back in October, 2004 - this man has continued to be allowed into ignorant and unstable fellowships to deceive the unwary. But we rejoice that many 'watchman' ministries (some linked from this site) warned clearly and openly about the continuing demonic deception hailed as a "revival" which emanated from Lakeland, Florida, in early 2008, but which fell like the rotten edifice it had always clearly proven to be [see article].

These are examples of the kind of e-mails we receive regarding Christian matters; we will never ignore or omit an e-mail which makes an important valid point. Unfortunately, many e-mails indicate the paucity of knowledge of the Word of God in the world today. But we acknowledge that Bible-believing Christians are represented here and they do show due concern for the accurate handling of the Word (2 Timothy 2v15; Titus 1v9)
Incidentally, if Rhiwbina Baptist [who currently - 2009 - continue to sell books from Word-Faith heretics and many of the other heretics exposed in 'Savage Wolves'], or any of the other Biblically ignorant fellowships that have embraced the kind of errors detailed above, wish to make it known that they have publicly repented for their involvement in these deceptions we also offer them the opportunity to do so via our pages. Alternatively, if they wish to write an apologetic to explain their reasons for becoming involved in these deceptions we would also allow them space here (say, the equivalent of 2 pages - which is approximately 25-30 pages of A4). Obviously, we also reserve the right to reply!
