I just read your article on Willow Creek Church & Bill Hybels Theology. Your article seemed to be week [sic] in the fact that you were trying to protect your on [sic] religion and felt somewhat threatened by what Willow Creek was doing. If I really understand you correctly both our Churches and I don't believe you stated yours so I'm assuming believe in Jesus Christ as being our savor [sic]. So if that's the case then what's the point of your article? All Christian churches should join forces to grow God's kingdom. Yes, I agree that we hold each other accountable. Was that the purpose of your article?

This definitely clarifies everything. I should point out that my commentary on Willowcreek is based on Bill Hybel's own statements and published documents, my email exchanges with your director of Twelve Steps Programs, and my interview with one of your elders. It is entirely possible, however, that you personally have not witnessed some of what I have documented. But his positions, teachings, teachers he promotes at his Willowcreek Summits, and books Willowcreek promotes are all a matter of public record. So these facts are not in dispute. (Much of this you can find in your own Google search, in Willowcreek's store, and on Willowcreek's own website.) It is well known that Willowcreek promotes Rick Warren's teachings and that a former Willowcreek pastor, Lee Strobel became a Rick Warren Saddleback pastor and teacher. So the relationship between Rick Warren and Bill Hybels is symbiotic. My testimony is not isolated as you will see from the documentation on the following links. I will send you a separate email and document on Rick Warren, as I have written two books about him. The Lord considers it an abomination to bear false witness against a brother and it is one of the Ten Commandments. And because I do believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior (your assumption is correct) and I fear the Lord and take very seriously the Scripture:
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers [slanderers], nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." I Cor 6:9-10
So I invite you to show me specifically where I have borne false witness against Bill Hybels or Willowcreek. My purpose (that you ask) is to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints and to obey the Apostle's commands and Christ's commands in Scripture according to these passages:
"Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear [thee, then] take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell [it] unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican." Matthew 18:15-18
"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them." Romans 16:17
2Jo 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed: 2Jo 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Now you rightfully should demand proof that I am not bearing false witness against Bill Hybels and Willowcreek, am duty bound to be a good Berean as well as expose the deeds of darkness and doctrines of demons being promulgated. So here is more proof (I know all of these ministries very well):
I have Hybel's own published testimony that he promotes Myers-Briggs Personality Profiling temperament (MBTI) divination which Myers-Briggs site fully corrobates is based on the teachings of Carl Jung (an occultist), as is Rick Warren's SHAPE program (the P in SHAPE). At least Hybels admitted it. Rick Warren won't even do that!
Willow Creek Leadership Summit Speaker Promotes New Age Deceivers

One of the keynote speakers at the 2006 Willow Creek Leadership Summit was Jim Collins, (Deborah Dombrowski from Lighthouse Trails Research reported - see link for full report).
Here's an excerpt from a book he forwarded for his friend, New Age author Michael Ray:
"I attended a meditation-intensive day at an ashram [Hindu spiritual center] to support a friend. As I sat in meditation in what was for me an unfamiliar environment, I suddenly felt and saw a bolt of lightning shoot up from the base of my spine out the top of my head. It forced me to recognize something great within me ...this awareness of my own divinity." (from The Highest Goal, Michael Ray, foreword by Jim Collins, p. 28, 2005)
Blanchard is another Willowcreek Summit Speaker and major Rick Warren Global Peace Plan collaborator. Lighthouse Trails has extensive proof of his false teaching … I personally heard him speak at a church on CD and sent this letter (edited below) of protest to the pastor (Tommy Barnett - to date he has not responded to any of my e-mails or follow-up inquiries) who promoted him:

Dear Pastor Tommy Barnett,
I just finished hearing the CD of Ken Blanchard speaking at your church recently. I can only hope you are simply not aware of Ken Blanchard's teachings and endorsements, including many he touted in his sermon to your congregation. The most startling of all was his glowing view of Nelson Mandela. Are you aware that Mandela is a devout Marxist? Here is a quote from Mandela . . . can you possibly think as Christian that Blanchard would be his devotee? "When you don't feel good about yourself, it is hard to feel good about anything or anyone else. . . . The only way to get out of this vicious cycle is to begin to believe in ourselves. . . . You are a child of God. . . . We are all meant to shine as children do. We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us it's in everyone. . . . Don't wait therefore for someone to tell you how wonderful you are. Just simply believe it, know it! Look deep within yourself. As we get to know and affirm ourselves for who we are, we become aware of the divinity that we share. What better place to find God than within ourselves."
I find it equally astonishing that you or at least one wise among your congregation would not stand up and challenge Ken Blanchard's glowing endorsement of Norman Vincent Peale, a mentor to Robert Schuller, whose heresies are well-known. Blanchard further endorses, in his sermon to your congregation, Rick Warren (SHAPE), Bill Hybels, and Zig Ziglar, all three of whom promote occultist Carl Jung's Temperament Divination and Personality Profiling. I proved that Warren is a false teacher in my last e-mail to you. Blanchard also promotes Jung via DISC Profiling, invented by Wonder Woman comic strip author William Moulton Marsden, who used Jung archetypes to create a female heroine who put men in bondage.
Blanchard also spoke glowingly of John Ortberg, who signed a letter to President Bush appealing to him to give some of the land of Israel to the Palestinians, bringing a curse upon himself from God to anyone who tampers with Israel's God-given boundaries. (God has married ["Beulah"] that land to Israel . . . no one else has a right to divide it up . . . read Psalm 83 if you doubt what God will do to those who dare to carve up the land of Israel). Blanchard also commends Bob Buford, whose account and defense of Mother Teresa (95%) [percentage represents Buford's idea that she only need 5% to close the gap to 100% between her and the Lord], who saw no reason to convert a Buddhist, is beyond the pale.
I remain shocked and saddened that you would not know about at least some of these false teachers that Blanchard promotes and endorses. I was compelled to bring this all to the attention of the listeners of Sonlife Radio Network (72 stations), and will continue to do so in the upcoming national radio interviews I will be doing in 2006 exposing Rick Warren's global PEACE plan vs. Scripture. I hope and pray that you take heed to my words and those of Dr. Opal Reddin in her October 27, 2005, open letter of appeal and warning to all Assembly of God churches, which she wrote on her deathbed, one month before she was promoted to Glory. [Dr. Reddin was a matriarch in the Assemblies of God denomination]. I have spent thousands of hours researching these men's teachings. I also hope that you go before your own congregation and repent for having brought Ken Blanchard to speak to and mingle with your flock. Support for a Palestinian state within the present borders of Israel and at the expense of Israel is also a common view within the Church Growth movement, as evidenced by a July 23, 2002, letter to President Bush containing the following statement signed by John Ortberg: "We commend your stated support for a Palestinian state with 1967 borders, and encourage you to move boldly forward so that the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for their own state may be realized."

Blanchard's New Age endorsements

John Maxwell's teachings are at the core of much of Warren's global PEACE plan and purpose-driven programs and philosophy, and is touted by both Todd Hudnall (Assembly of God) and Dr. John Jackson (American Baptist). So I am devoting more extensive treatment to him in this documentary. John Maxwell is another major player in social engineering. Mr. Hudnall believes ministry starts with good leadership. Hudnall endorses John Maxwell a second time at the end of his PDC conference when he states: "Everything rises and falls with leadership." But what kind of leader in ministry touts well-known eugenicist Thorndike, as John Maxwell does in his "good" book? Besides Edward Thorndike (evolutionist, eugenicist, humanist, atheist), the parade of false teachers and teachings that Maxwell promotes in his books is quite staggering. Just some of them include: Norman Vincent Peale (33rd Degree Mason), Robert Schuller, Richard Foster, Agnes Sanford (pantheist and Carl Jung disciple), Napolean Hill, New Age psychologist James Allen, Kay Arthur (THRIVE), Zig Ziglar, Bill Hybels, and, of course, Rick Warren. The Assembly of God (and of course all Christians) should be particularly horrified by Agnes Sanford's definition of the baptism of the Holy Spirit (see Richard Howe's article below). If there is any doubt that John Maxwell is a false teacher, read the following documentaries:

♦ Berit Kjos article "Strange Journeys: Jane Fonda, John Maxwell, Norma McCorvey, and Scott Peck--what do they have in common?"
♦ Steve Muse--Eastern Regional Watch--an article entitled "The Temptation to Love Another."
On page 124 of his book Developing the Leaders Around You, John Maxwell endorses behaviorism psychologist Edward Thorndike. Maxwell states: "Behaviors immediately rewarded increase in frequency; behaviors immediately punished decrease in frequency."
Here is more of Thorndike's beliefs:
Edward L. Thorndike, Cattell's famous protégé, also adopted Galton's views on inherited intelligence. As a true believer in race science and evolution, he believed that man was an animal that could be trained as an animal. Thus, he invented the stimulus-response technique of behavioral education. He wrote in 1911: "Nowhere more truly than in his mental capacities is man a part of nature. His instincts, that is, his inborn tendencies to feel and act in certain ways, show throughout marks of kinship with the lower animals, especially with our nearest relatives physically, the monkeys. His sense-powers show no new creation. His intellect we have seen to be a simple though extended variation from the general animal sort. This again is presaged by the similar variation in the case of the monkeys. Amongst the minds of animals that of man leads, not as a demigod from another planet, but as a king from the same race."
Thus, the idea that man was made in God's image went out the school window. Both Cattell and Thorndike had fathers who were Christian ministers, so they knew the Bible very well. Their apostasy destroyed American education. Thus, with America's top educators adapting the ideas of eugenics to the problems of education, eugenics as scientific racism acquired widespread respectability. It should also be noted that the IQ test was a direct result of the eugenics enterprise, serving as a means of sifting out the mentally superior."
Note that John Maxwell quotes Edward Thorndike. Edward Thorndike also said: "Schools would serve as 'instruments of managed evolution,' establishing conditions for selective breeding before the masses take things into their own hands."
Thorndike was a eugenicist (selective breeding of humans which, of course, leads to population control, as in China), and ultimately he was racist at heart. Abortion is a modern, politically correct form of eugenics - the elimination of undesirables.
Thorndike would oversee the training of more empirical characterologists than any other American. In a 1913 lecture, "Eugenics, with Special Reference to Intellect and Character," he sang the praises of the eugenics movement.

In conclusion, the evidence against Bill Hybels … is massively corroborated. I can only hope and pray that you simply are not aware of this (though I don't see how you could have missed it), and that you would take heed.
