WBTS False Prophecies - and the Lying Cover-ups! - 11

Through the 1930's and 1940's the WBTS still insisted that Job and the other 'faithful men' were going to return 'any day now' - and, of course, they had even built a house for them!

'The Golden Age', 1930, p407 - the WBTS continued with their charade, insisting on this page that 'the Princes' would have to identify themselves to the proper officers of said Society as the person or persons described in Hebrews chapter eleven and in this deed' so they could take possession of Beth-Sarim from 'Judge' Rutherford (who lived there in some luxury until his death!).

The only surprise is that no hucksters turned up asking the WBTS what identification they would accept or, indeed, what identification could be produced in order to claim the 'said' property!?

'The New World', 1942, p104, 130 - the WBTS were still insisting that Job and the other 'faithful men' were going to return 'any day now' - and they had even built a house for them!

The true nature of the WBTS is repeatedly revealed in their hope that 'the house at San Diego, California, which house has been much publicized with malicious intent by the religious enemy, was built, in 1930, and named "Beth-Sarim ", meaning "House of the Princes" ... It is now held in trust for the occupancy of those princes on their return.'

But the WBTS reaction to those who had already observed their earlier false prophecies reveals the nature of the leaders of this cult:

'The most recent facts show that the religionists of this doomed world are gnashing their teeth because of the testimony which that "House of the Princes" bears to the new world. To those religionists and their allies the return of those faithful men of old to rule with judgment over the people shall not bring any pleasure. But to the people whom the angels sang about, "men of good-will," it shall be an occasion for unbounded jubilation ...'.

Unfortunately for the WBTS even the dullest of 'those religionists' of the world know more about the Bible - and what it clearly teaches about false prophets - than the sad men of Brooklyn.  So they never were 'gnashing their teeth' over Beth-Sarim!

Consolation, May 27, 1942, p3 - the WBTS admit in various ways that Beth-Sarim was deeded to 'those princes' (who never turned up).

Consolation, May 27, 1942, p13 - the WBTS expanded on this claim:

proof that these princes will shortly take office upon earth as perfect men is found in the prophecy of Daniel. 'But go thou thy way till the end be; for thou shalt rest and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.' (Daniel 12:13) Daniel's 'lot' is that of these princes. Proof is now submitted that we are now living at 'the end of the days', and we may expect to see Daniel and the other mentioned princes any day now!"

Do you think the WBTS know what 'proof' means?

The GOLDEN AGE, March 19, 1930, p400 (above) - the WBTS confirmed that Beth-Sarim was deeded to 'the princes'.

Do you think their story changed with time?

What did the WBTS do when the date and 'prophecy' that was 'definitely settled' in Scripture failed to produce Old Testament occupants for BETH SARIM?

This is what the WBTS were writing when the 'nations' had still not forgotten the 1925 failure:

"The public press has ridiculed and scoffed at BETH-SARIM, but those who love the Lord rejoice that this has been used as a means to publicly call attention to the faithful men whom God will bring forth."  (The Watchtower, March 15, 1937, p86 - below)

Salvation, 1939 ed., p311 - the WBTS wrote (see page below):

'At San Diego, California, there is a small piece of land, on which, in the year 1929, there was built a house, which is called and known as Beth-Sarim. The Hebrew words Beth Sarim mean 'House of the Princes'; and the purpose of acquiring that property and building the house was that there might be some tangible proof that there are those on earth today who fully believe God and Christ Jesus and in His kingdom, and who believe that the faithful men of old will soon be resurrected by the Lord, be back on earth, and take charge of the visible affairs of earth.  The title to Beth-Sarim is vested in the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society in trust, to be used by the president of the Society and his assistants for the present, and thereafter to be forever at the disposal of the aforementioned princes on the earth.... It stands there as a testimony to Jehovah's name; and if and when the princes do return and some of them occupy the property, such will be a confirmation of the faith and hope that induced the building of Beth-Sarim'

How convenient that 'the president of the Society and his assistants' were able to make use of the property for years - since 'the aforementioned princes' never returned to earth!
